Teen On-Camera Commercial Acting Intensive
AGES 13-17: In this 4-week Teen Workshop, we will cover similar ground as the Adult Workshop, but it will be geared specifically to those aged 13-17. Young actors will be given a detailed overview of the entire casting process from slating their names for the camera to booking a job. They will understand exactly what is expected of them as professionals in a competitive industry and they will also learn to have fun in the process. I will work with each student individually in a workshop setting to help each and every actor recognize their unique strengths. We will work hard until those strengths grow even stronger, and weaker areas transform into newfound strengths!
ON-CAMERA: Students will do all their work on-camera. In addition to learning the basics of the auditioning room, we will also work extensively on different commercial copy from one-liners to spokesperson copy, from group scenes to scenes without any dialogue. Students will learn how to use their bodies and faces to convey the proper actions and reactions so that they stand out from other actors their own age who have not yet mastered the specific craft and nuance of commercial acting. Teens will be able to familiarize themselves and grow comfortable in a professional casting room setting so that they will feel at home when they enter the real world of professional commercial auditioning.
All the work done in class will be available for viewing online in the privacy of your home using the Casting Frontier!
